PRIDE POSTER CONTEST IS NOW OPEN
How To Get Started
Before beginning your artwork, refect on our theme of “Celebrating Generations Of Pride.” This theme is centered around inclusivity within our beautiful community, where LGBTQ+ youth are nurtured and LGBTQ+ elders are honored.
Eligibility
This contest is open to all residents of Monterey County. Students are strongly encouraged to apply, including youth enrolled in home schools, the “unschooled” movement, trade schools and charter schools. Minors must have written permission from a parent or legal guardian to participate.
Categories
After the contest closes on Friday, May 4, 2018, one winner will be selected from each category: Elementary School, Middle School, High School, College and Community.
Submissions
Please include your first name, last name (or initial), age, city of residence, e-mail address, phone number and the title of your artwork. For electronic submissions, the page layout must
be 8.5x11 inches with a resolution of 300 ppi, exported as a PDF. Please email contact@ montereypeninsulapride.org to submit your art for the contest. Mailed submissions must also be 8.5x11 inches. Please send your artwork to Monterey Peninsula Pride, P.O. Box 893, Seaside, CA,
Winners
If your artwork is selected by our pride planning committee, it will be featured on our official 2018 poster. Winners will also recieve a commemorative pride T-shirt and have the chance to participate in our parade. All submissions will be featured in a public gallery at our pride celebration.
Terms
By submitting your artwork, you agree to allow Monterey Peninsula Pride to feature your design and name on our marketing materials, website and social media accounts, as well as display your artwork in a public gallery at the pride celebration on June 30, 2018.
